VMSD Magazine: 26th Annual Markopoulos Award in NYC
Peter Marino was named the 26th Markopoulos Award winner in NYC on January 16, 2024. A famed architect, Peter and team reimagined the landmark Tiffany’s 5th Avenue store in 2023. Eleven of the former Markopoulos winners were present, including Judy Bell who won the award in 1999.

VMSD invited Judy Bell to join Eric Feigenbaum, Tom Beebe and Joe Baer in judging holiday windows around-the-globe for their 1st annual Gene Moore award. Printemps in Paris took the honors.

25th Anniversary Markopoulos Award

The Markopoulos Circle gathered at the Ralph Pucci showroom to present the 25th Markopolous award to Matthew Yokobosky. He is the renowned Sr Curator of Fashion and Material Culture at the Brooklyn Museum. Eleven of the 25 recipients of the award were present, including Judy Bell, who received the award in 1999.

Judy Bell joined hands with Jessie Dowd from Retail TouchPoints and Anne Kong from FIT to judge New York’s Winning Windows 2020. Top honors went to Bloomingdales, 2nd place to Macy’s, and 3rd to Anthropologie. A new North American Award opened the windows event up to retailers outside NYC, and MartinPatrick3 in Minneapolis won Judges Choice, with Rodeo Drive claiming the People’s Choice Award.
